Clean room, good free Wi-Fi, but the kettle lead's too short. Staff could improve.

historic, historic, historic
Staying here was an enchanting experience steeped in history, with ancient wooden beams that brought the place to life. I loved the cozy pub atmosphere, especially while enjoying locally made sausages for breakfast that truly showcased regional flavors. The pet-friendly policies allowed my furry friend to join in on the fun, enhancing the overall warm and welcoming vibe.

The location is prime, right in the heart of the village, making it easy to explore nearby attractions like Ambleside and Lake Windermere. Room 7 offers plenty of space and comfort. The breakfast—especially the full English—is a stellar way to start the day.
The room above the kitchen occasionally comes with lingering fryer odors, which can be a nuisance. Walls are thinner than expected, making it hard to avoid outside conversations. Parking is a bit of a trek from the hotel, which may pose a challenge for some guests.

Cozy pub vibes with fab food
Stopped in for a bite and wow, the burgers were legit some of the best I've had! Super friendly staff added to the laid-back vibes. The lounge area felt like a second home, but the small bar got pretty packed. Perfect spot if you're looking for a chill evening!

Charming stay in Hawkshead! 🇿🇦
Ag man, the brekkie was a lekker surprise with loads of choices! The room felt like home and the staff were so friendly, even offered to help us find alternate plans when our train was cancelled. Such a personal touch!
Only downside was the lack of a lift. it might be a bit tricky for those with mobility issues.

Family with children find a good spot
We had two evening meals, which were quite nice, but breakfast could be better. One evening, we ordered the steak & ale pie, it was something I’d genuinely call a proper pie, and the sticky toffee pudding was good, a nice wink to my sweet tooth.
It wasn't exactly budget-friendly, but still acceptable.

Kings Arms offered a wonderful two-night stay. Room 7 was cozy, tidy, and had a clean shower with ample towels. Breakfast was a highlight, with no complaints about the delicious variety. The bar’s lively atmosphere made it a great spot, despite it being quite busy. The staff were polite and helpful throughout our stay. the room was smaller than expected, which might feel cramped for some, especially if traveling with a dog. having no communal sitting area outside the room limited our lounge options when the bar was full. a pleasant experience in a charming location, but a bit more space would have enhanced it.
